«Documentos que no se queman»
California, Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Germany, then worldwide
Your ID should survive a fire, a theft and a forger.
Paper and plastic documents burn in wildfires, get stolen, and take weeks and fees to replace, worse if you live abroad. In the age of AI they are also easy to forge. A digital credential signed by the issuer, bound to your phone's secure chip and re-issued in minutes when the phone is lost fixes all four. The standards already exist (ISO 18013-5, W3C Verifiable Credentials, the EU identity wallet). What's missing is the law: in California you must still carry the plastic card, and passports are paper-only almost everywhere.

Tus documentos no deberían quemarse, perderse ni falsificarse. Pedimos que el DNI, la licencia y el pasaporte digitales valgan por sí solos y se puedan reemplazar en minutos desde cualquier lugar del mundo.
What we're asking for
Make digital IDs legally valid on their own; let people replace a lost, stolen or burned document remotely in minutes, free after disasters and theft; publish a free verifier app; and issue birth, marriage and property records as signed digital records.
Where it stands
Launched October 2026. Proposals are going to the California DMV and Legislature, Argentina's national government, Buenos Aires Province and Germany's digital and interior ministries.
